Things to Do in Newport:

Boat & Sail: Known as the “Sailing Capital of the World, the fair winds and idyllic conditions in and around Newport make sailing and boating here an extraordinary experience. Come discover why international events including the America’s Cup, the Volvo Ocean Race, prestigious regattas, and Olympic trials choose Newport as their global stage.

Mansions: Mansions are synonymous with Newport and Bristol Counties. During the Gilded Age, America’s wealthiest families flocked to the City-by-the-Sea and its surrounding areas, including Bristol, making the area their summertime playground. Today, more than a dozen prestigious properties have been preserved by dedicated organizations committed to protecting our past for both you and generations to come.

Beaches: Every single city and town in Newport and Bristol County borders an ocean, river or bay, so we know a thing or two about beaches. There are several here, each with their own distinct feel. Some offer crashing waves; others proffer nothing but a quiet tide lapping along the shore. Your biggest challenge might just be choosing a favorite.
